چکیده
ABSTRACT: The growing worldwide demand in the pulp market has fostered research that evaluates alternative fiber sources with specific characteristics attend needs of consumer market, a view to add value final product and reduce production costs. Acacia mearnsii De Wild wood is by-product extraction tannin from trunk bark, used for firewood, charcoal pellets. However, its still poorly studied, especially anatomical characteristics, which can provide important information about industrial potential. This study evaluated paper. Ten trees at approximately seven years old were cut down, five seed area (SPA) clonal population (CPA). From each tree, one disc was sectioned diameter breast height (DBH), resulting 10 (ten) samples. disc, sapwood specimen made oriented tangential longitudinal, radial longitudinal transversal planes, later obtaining cuts macerates. description followed recommendations International Association Wood Anatomists-IAWA. dimensions fibers, their quality evaluation ratios paper calculated. Results obtained characterization allowed conclude woods SPA CPA are indicated as source raw material production.

متن کاملRaman Spectroscopic Characterization of Wood and Pulp Fibers, Chapter 2
This chapter reviews applications of Raman spectroscopy in the field of wood and pulp fibers. Most of the literature examined was published between 1998 and 2006. In addi tion to introduction, this chapter contains sections on wood and components, mechanical pulp, chemical pulp, modified/treated wood, cellulose I crystallinity of wood fibers, and the “self-absorption” phenomenon in near-infrar...
